Former UFC fighter Suman Mokhtarian was shot dead on Wednesday (8) in Riverstone, a suburb of Sydney, Australia. The 33-year-old athlete was hit while walking along a residential street.

This wasn't Mokhtarian's first time at the receiving end of violence. About 18 months ago, the former fighter survived an attempted murder when shots were fired outside his MMA gym, also in Sydney.
