Former UFC fighter Suman Mokhtarian was shot dead on Wednesday (8) in Riverstone, a suburb of Sydney, Australia. The 33-year-old athlete was hit while walking along a residential street.

According to 'The Daily Photograph,' local police are treating the case as a targeted attack and have ruled out the possibility of a random act. Investigations are still ongoing, and no suspects have been arrested yet.

This wasn't Mokhtarian's first time at the receiving end of violence. About 18 months ago, the former fighter survived an attempted murder when shots were fired outside his MMA gym, also in Sydney.

Suman Mokhtarian He built his career in Australian MMA before arriving at the UFC, where he competed between 2018 and 2019, but failed to win. He had two performances and two setbacks.
