Even focused on his next challenge at UFC Rio, Charles of the Bronx continues to dream big within the organization. During the event's official media day, which was attended by SUPER FIGHTS, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) expressed his desire to face Conor McGregor in a historic superfight and even mentioned the possibility of the duel taking place at a UFC event at the White House, in Washington (USA).
"When we talk about legacy, this is going to be a big fight there. So if the UFC needs me, I'll be ready. Everyone knows: Charles Oliveira vs. Conor McGregor. It would be the fight. It's the fight for money,” Charles declared.

The Brazilian's speech reignites an old rivalry between the two former champions, but the possibility of a clash is hindered by a series of factors outside the octagon.
McGregor is currently serving an 18-month suspension imposed by the UFC's anti-doping policy, after failing three tests in 2024. Despite this, the Irishman maintains his comeback speech and reportedly asked for R$535 million to participate in the special event at the White House.
UFC White House, designed to celebrate the United States' independence anniversary, has been confirmed by Dana White. The organization's president described the project as "the most challenging event in history" and plans to transform the presidential lawn into a temporary MMA arena.
While the dream of the super fight remains distant, Charles of the Bronx returns to the octagon this Saturday (11) to face Mateusz gamrot, in the main fight of UFC Rio.
