Gamrot recalled the matter when questioned in an interview with journalist Guilherme Cruz from the North American website 'MMA Fighting' this Wednesday (8). According to him, the information that the former champion would be afraid to accept the confrontation took him by surprise.

“For me, this was a bit surprising because I saw his interview in Portuguese, as if he knew my name, he respects me. Of course, I respect him a lot too. But he has a camp prepared for a different style, compared to the striker, and he's not ready for my style. To me, that was a little funny because he's the lion, the guy with the most submissions in UFC history. He submits almost everyone. How can he be afraid like a grappler? I am a grappler"I want to take everyone down in my fight, so it'll be the same with Charles. We'll get into the octagon, but I want to take him down and fight him on the ground," said the fighter, who is ranked eighth in the division.
