The impressive victory of Alex Poatán about Magomed Ankalayev No. UFC 320 last Saturday (4) may have been accompanied by a physical problem. Right after the referee ended the fight, the Brazilian was caught grabbing his own toes and trying to adjust them, which raised suspicions of injury.

"He definitely either dislocated or broke his toes or something. I don't know for sure, but I saw what you all saw, and it looked like he really messed up his toes," the UFC president said.

Earlier, Poatan himself had already stated that he suspected a fracture in his foot, claiming to have felt the impact from the first kick he landed against Ankalaev. The fighter will undergo tests in the coming days to confirm the diagnosis and determine his recovery time.

With the triumph, Alex Poatán regained the light heavyweight belt and reinforced his desire to move up a category in the future to challenge Jon Jones in heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg).
