Mikey Musumeci shone at UFC BJJ 3. At the grappling event held last Thursday (2), in Las Vegas (USA), the jiu-jitsu specialist finished Keven Carrasco in the first round and defended the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg). Happy with the triumph, the American, excited, seeks to take a bigger step in his career and already has targets in mind: Arman Tsarukyan and Charles do Bronx.
In the post-event press conference, Musumeci expressed interest in facing MMA fighters and issued a respectful challenge to the elite UFC lightweight duo (up to 70,3 kg), praising, in particular, the Brazilian. And the American's idea is valid, given that Charles and Tsarukyan are grappling specialists.

Charles, the UFC's all-time leading finisher, has already opened the door to participating in grappling events promoted by the company. The Armenian fighter, on the other hand, regularly competes in grappling and, in 2025, submitted Benson Henderson and Patricky Pitbull . Therefore, Musumeci would like to test himself against these athletes.
“I'm doing really well right now. I think I'm ready to fight anyone they put in front of me. But I'd like a good fight with an MMA fighter from a heavier weight class, like Tsarukyan. I think it would be really cool if I had a grappling match with him, because he's been grappling. Charles, someone like that, a legend. Like, someone cool. I think it would be fun for people to see, because I'm smaller.”

Former lightweight champion and current number four in the rankings, Charles Oliveira will face Mateusz Gamrot in the main event of UFC Rio on October 11th. Second in the division's rankings, Arman Tsarukyan will face Dan Hooker in November in Qatar.
