Protagonists of great rivalry inside and outside the octagon, Magomed Ankalayev e Alex Poatán gained a new chapter in their history during a press conference held this Thursday (02). In addition to the staredown that drew attention, another fact also did not go unnoticed: the trust shown between Dana White and the Brazilian.

When asked what he thought of everything that was happening with the fight promotion with Ankalaev since the first confrontation, Poatan didn't hesitate to accuse the Russian of creating lies to manipulate the MMA public and asked Dana to confirm his version.

"Since the first fight, this guy has been lying. He lied, saying I said no, that I turned him down. I've never turned him down. Dana White is here, ask him the question," Poatan said during a press conference.

Immediately, the reporter in charge of the question followed the former champion's guidance and asked Dana White about rumors that the Brazilian had turned down previous invitations to face Ankalaev.

"This guy (Poatan) never turns down a fight, ever. When he's injured, when he's not injured, he doesn't give a damn. He was on vacation, said yes, and came. Trust me," Dana replied, making the crowd cheer.
