Renato Moicano revealed the reason why he refused the fight against Charles of the Bronx, scheduled for UFC Rio on October 11. In an interview with the Show Me The Podcast podcast, the fighter said that his current priority is producing content for YouTube, and that this would take up the time needed to prepare for the fight.

“If I beat Charles in Brazil, I would become a superstar. I don't want to make excuses, but I have an injury. I haven't been training much, and I got sick, too. Especially since it was five rounds and I got tired in the last fight (against Beneil Dariush). I haven't had time to recover. I've been doing six-hour live streams... If I stop working, the algorithms will crash," Moicano explained.

With Moicano's refusal, the UFC opted to Mateusz gamrot, who accepted the challenge at the last minute and is now confirmed to face Charles at the event on October 11th.
