The National Boxing Council (CNB) has determined a 180-day suspension for Wanderlei Silva and Popó after the widespread brawl that ended Spaten Fight Night 2, held last Saturday (27), in São Paulo. The decision also affects members of the two fighters' teams, in a measure that aims to curb episodes of violence outside the rules in events sanctioned by the entity.
The most severe punishment went to André Dida, Wanderlei's coach, who was caught assaulting Popó and received a one-year suspension. Other team members received suspensions ranging from 90 to 180 days.

The brawl erupted shortly after the main event, which ended with Wanderlei's disqualification for repeated fouls, including headbutts, and a punch from Rafael Freitas, Popó's son. The incident sparked a commotion in the ring, with exchanges of aggression between team members.
Although Rafael threw the punch that knocked out Wanderlei, he was not punished by the CNB because he did not have a license to act as a team member during the event. However, the organization announced that it will recommend his indefinite ban from future boxing events.
