Maurício Ruffy made the most of his trip to Australia. Last week, the Brazilian had professional commitments and, as he had direct contact with Alexander Volkanovsky e Israel adesanya, did not waste the chance to improve his MMA game.
On his official Instagram account, the athlete, ranked 15th in the UFC lightweight rankings (up to 70,3 kg), made a point of thanking the sporting icons for the opportunity to train with both of them and, showing humility, praised them. In fact, it wasn't just Ruffy who approved of the meeting.

So much so that Adesanya was won over by the Brazilian and praised his training method. Overjoyed by this unique experience, the 'Fighting Nerds' member now aims to put everything he learned from the veterans into practice in the octagon.
"I'd like to thank you for the opportunity to train with this champion. Especially Engage for providing this experience. Adesanya, thank you for the welcome and kindness. And, above all, thank you, Jesus, because without you, none of this would be possible. Volkanovski, thank you for the training and learning. You are a true champion! Finishing up work here in Australia. Days of work, training, and learning," wrote Ruffy.
Luffy's UFC Fighters
Maurício Ruffy, 29, is a promising MMA fighter and a member of the UFC's lightweight elite. Revealed by the reality show Contender Series in 2023, the Brazilian debuted in the sport's biggest organization a year later and competed in four fights, totaling three wins (two by knockout) and one loss. In his last appearance in the octagon, the striker was submitted by Benoit Saint-Denis.
