the fight between Wanderlei Silva x Acelino Popó Freitas It's not over yet. After the general brawl at the end of Spaten Fight Night 2, last Saturday night (27), a new battle could take place outside the ring. This is because Wand will sue Rafael Freitas, Popó's son, for attempted murder. The information was released by lawyer Claudio Dalledone.
Dalledone, who is one of the greatest criminal lawyers in Brazil and a former training partner of Wanderlei Silva, used his Instagram account to reveal the legal measures that will be taken after the attacks suffered by Cachorro Louco.

"We are dealing with a serious injury that could become very serious. Considering the nature of the incident, the possibility of eventual intent cannot be ruled out, constituting attempted murder.”, the lawyer said (see full statement below).
The lawyer did not mention the name of Rafael Freitas, Popó's son, identified as the perpetrator of the attacks, but, due to the statement, he must be the accused in the case.
Popó can also be sued
In an interview with the Combate channel website, Dalledone also reinforced that even Acelino Popo can be included in the lawsuit. For him, the fighter encouraged the confusion. The lawyer recalls an audio message Popó sent to Fabricio Werdum, Wand's partner, on Friday (26) where he says: 'Everyone's going to get beaten up in the ring, everyone's going to get beaten up'
– The lawsuit would be against the person who assaulted Wanderlei (Rafael, Popó's son), because he was the one who assaulted him and has been identified. We will also file lawsuits against Popó for encouraging this type of situation. We had his encouragement there, already aggravated by the previous video, with the audio before Werdum: 'Everyone's going to get beaten up in the ring, everyone's going to get beaten up"So, clearly he was inciting that group that ended up doing this: 20 men against three men. Cowardly, a 50-year-old man lying on the ground. This was cowardly, it was criminal, and we will spare no legal means to give each man what is due, and giving each man what is due is jail for this kid who threw that cowardly punch, which, for me, borders on attempted murder, given the intention he had there," said Claudio Dalledone.
Dalledone condemns confusion, but reinforces criticism of Popó's team
Claudio Dalledone further reinforced his criticism of Popó's team. According to the lawyer, Popó's partners Acelino Popo were responsible for starting the confusion.
“Popó promised before that everyone would be beaten and he did. Through his team, they cowardly and treacherously knocked out Wanderlei Silva. Criminally knocked out Wanderlei Silva"We're not talking about the fight anymore. The fight happened, and the referee, with authority, declared him disqualified. The post-fight, when they enter the ring and begin the confrontation. They started it, Popó's team started it," he added.

Wanderlei complains of cowardice in assault at Spaten Fight Night
In a video posted on his Instagram account, Wanderlei Silva, without naming Popó's son, claims he was trying to calm things down during the fight when he was punched twice, the first time in the back. The attacks were carried out by Rafael Freitas, son of Acelino Popó Freitas.
"I never attacked anyone. I was there trying to separate them and suddenly I got punched in the neck, and then another punch in the eye. I was cowardly attacked. As you can see, my eye is still bleeding. I have a terrible headache. I thought it was a very sad act," he said. Wanderlei Silva.
