Frustrated at not being able to get back in the ring, Wanderlei Silva resorted to multiple headbutts on his rival, resulting in his disqualification by the referee. After the decision was announced, Popó's team celebrated, but what started as a party quickly turned into a war.

The teams, who had been exchanging taunts and complaints due to the illegal blows, entered the ring, intensifying the chaos. In the midst of the tumult, Wanderlei Silva , who had already been struggling throughout the rounds, ended up being knocked out.
