Pro-wrestling promotes fights better than Dana White, says Lesnar

Former UFC heavyweight champion says WWE has the same business model as MMA and applies it more efficiently

For a long time Brock Lesnar He was one of the biggest “gooses that laid the golden eggs” in the UFC. The giant, heavyweight champion between 2008 and 2010, was one of those responsible for the biggest pay-per-view sales in the history of Ultimate, at the historic UFC 100, when he defeated Frank mir. Today, however, he doesn't seem to be a big fan of the way the biggest MMA organization on the planet promotes its fights.

Lesnar is now a member of WWE, the pro wrestling which he participated in even before moving to MMA. And, responding to a criticism made by UFC president, Dana White, he took a real dig at his former boss.

White recently criticized the price charged by WWE for its pay-per-view events, which he considered expensive due to the fact that they were staged fights. “Of course, Dana. It's agreed and everyone knows it, but it's still the same thing – you're promoting the same thing as us. Dana White promotes fights, we promote fights. The business model is the same, it is identical. I think Vince McMahon [WWE promoter] is better at this than Dana, and that could bother Dana”, said Lesnar, in an interview with the North American broadcaster “ESPN”.

Lesnar had eight MMA fights between 2007 and 2011, winning five and losing three. In his last UFC appearance, he was knocked out by alistair overeem still in the first round.
