The official weigh-in for Spaten Fight Night 2, held this Friday (26), drew attention not only for the numbers, but for the physical contrast between the two protagonists. Wanderlei Silva registered a weight of 93,8 kg, while Popó Freitas scored 73,6 kg, a difference of almost 20 kilos between the sides of the ring.
Since the fight was announced, there was a contractual agreement that Popó would weigh in at around 73 kg, while Wanderlei could weigh up to 95 kg at the official weigh-in. This margin beyond the stipulated limit reinforces the imbalance in terms of brute strength and physical presence.

During the final face-off, it became even more evident how Wanderlei's body projects a neutral and voluminous musculature, with broad shoulders and a large torso, while Popó appeared more compact, with an athletic build geared towards boxing, less raw mass and more functional definition for combat.
