Defeated in his last appearance in the octagon, Jean Silva shows a thirst to try to get back to winning ways as soon as possible. With his sights set on a new fight in December, the fighter challenged the current third-ranked featherweight (up to 65,7 kg), Yair Rodriguez. Despite the request, Lord has not yet received a response from the former interim champion of the category.

Keeping an eye on the situation, the also ranked Giga Chikadze broke the mold and used social media to issue a respectful challenge to the Fighting Nerds representative. Like Jean, the Georgian who trains in California is also seeking an opportunity to erase recent setbacks in his career.

"Hey Jean, I saw you challenged Yair (Rodriguez) for December. I respect that determination. But you and I have something to prove after our last fights. You were number 10, I was number 12, and we both got our asses kicked. Let's give the fans a real show and settle this in December. I'm ready if you are. Let's make this happen," Giga declared on his official X account.

Currently ranked 15th in the division and coming off two consecutive losses, Giga was already considered a promising prospect in the organization. Signed in 2019, the fighter achieved a seven-fight winning streak, but lost his belt when he faced Calvin kattar, in a fight that would determine his next opponent Max Holloway, champion at the time. Since then, Chikadze has fought three times and triumphed only once.

Despite the request, the veteran has yet to receive any response from Jean. The Brazilian's intention is to face the Mexican, who is currently in third place and is coming off a victory over Patrick Pitbull.
