Alex Poatán continues in heavy preparation for the UFC 320 and left marks on one of his training partners. In a video posted on social media, the Brazilian appears in a sparring session against American Austin Ross and lands a knee strike that opened a cut on his partner's face, requiring stitches on his lower lip.
Austin Ross suffered the most damage, but he wasn't the only victim. Alex Poatán. In the same training session, the Brazilian opened a cut below the eye of another sparring partner: American Melvin Alexander Jovel.

The intensity of Poatan's training resonated with fans, who commented on the naturalness with which the former champion applied the move. The duel between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalayev takes place on October 4th in Las Vegas for the light heavyweight title. In the first meeting, UFC 313, the Russian won the unanimous decision of the judges after neutralizing the power of the Brazilian in the clinch and standing.
