Magomed Ankalaev responds to Alex Poatan's accusation and blasts the Brazilian: 'He should be grateful'

The light heavyweight champion took to social media to respond to Poatan's accusation, calling him a 'clown'

The rivalry between Magomed Ankalayev e Alex Poatán ganhou mais um capítulo a pouco mais de uma semana do UFC 320, que acontece no dia 4 de outubro. Após ser acusado pelo brasileiro de se esconder no Instituto de Performance do UFC, em Las Vegas, o campeão dos meio-pesados foi às redes sociais para rebater as provocações, disparando contra o desafiante e relembrando o primeiro encontro entre eles.

"This clown I'm going to fight says I'm hiding from him. I'm giving him a rematch, and he should be very grateful. I beat him for five rounds and did everything I wanted to him during the fight. Let's focus on fighting, not talking nonsense," Ankalaev wrote on 'X'.

Without holding back on his criticism, the Russian also took the opportunity to poke fun at Poatan's record and promised to knock out the Brazilian in the rematch.

"This guy has been knocked out three times in his career, I've never been knocked out. This time I'm going to give him his fourth knockout. End of story," he said.

In a third publication, Magomed Ankalayev mentioned the past of Alex Poatán as an employee of a tire shop and indicated that he intends to send his rival back to his old job.
