Protagonists of UFC 320, Alex Poatán e Magomed Ankalayev They seem to be willing to escalate their rivalry even further as the long-awaited rematch approaches. After initially stating that the Russian hid at the Ultimate Performance Institute, the Brazilian returned to the incident and raised his voice against his tormentor.
Irritated by Ankalaev's supposed 'escape', Poatan questioned why the Russian provokes on social media and does not maintain his posture in opportunities that may come face to face.

"The guy says some shit like that and then hides, he's an asshole, a wimp. He kept looking at me like, 'Is he mad, or isn't he?' And I was just being quiet, I didn't say anything. So he didn't leave the room, but if I had greeted him or nodded at him, they would have said, 'Hey, hey, Ankalaev, you can come out, Poatan is cool with us, there won't be a fight,'" Poatan declared in a video posted on his YouTube channel.
Following his speech, Poatan makes it clear that if he wants to beat Ankalaev outside the octagon, he will not hesitate to hit his rival.
"If I ever want to fight someone, do you think I'm going to tell Glover or Plinio that I'm going to hit them? I don't even say anything, I just let them, let them, and when they come and greet Glover, you, if I want to fight, it's right there, take it, take it, that's it. The guys keep talking, they know their partners won't let them, and then they keep saying: 'Hold me, hold me, or I'll kill you.' That doesn't exist. If I want to do something, I stay quiet, keep to myself. Do you think I'm going to warn them? I just keep to myself," he concluded.
Having won the first meeting and heading into his first light heavyweight title defense (up to 93 kg), Ankalaev is relying on social media provocations to try to destabilize his rival. The Russian, a heavy favorite among bookmakers, will compete on October 4th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA.
