Brazil has two more representatives in the UFC. Last Tuesday (23), in Las Vegas (USA), in addition to Rafael Bipolar, Jeisla Chaves also took advantage of the opportunity to compete in the reality show Contender Series, but, unlike her compatriot, she suffered in the octagon. All because A Braba starred in a battle with Sofia Montenegro and won by split decision. As he watched from the box, Dana White praised the athletes.
In an interview with Laura Sanko at the end of the show, the director made a point of praising the professionals and liked what he saw so much that he signed both of them, thus strengthening the UFC's flyweight (up to 56,7 kg) roster. Dana's decision made sense, as many fans called the fight between Jeisla, undefeated in the sport, and Sofia one of the most exciting in women's MMA. Excited, the company leader once again admitted that he made a mistake when, in the past, he closed the doors to women.

"We had two women's fights this season, and both were unbelievable. If you go back to when I said women would never fight in the UFC and look at how technical these women are now, how unbelievable these fights are... This fight had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I didn't see Chaves winning. I scored Sophia the winner, but I'm not a judge. All I can do is book both of them. So, congratulations to both of them. It was an absolute war. Much respect to both women who put on this fight," Dana declared.
Rain of contracts
It wasn't just Jeisla Chaves and Sofia Montenegro who were awarded UFC contracts in the most recent edition of the Contender Series. Javier Reyes, Mantas Kondratavicius, Murtazali Magomedov, and Rafael Bipolar also stood out and convinced Dana White.
