Charles do Bronx's rival, Gamrot 'explodes' with happiness upon receiving confirmation of fight at UFC Rio

The persistent provocations of Mateusz gamrot toward Charles of the Bronx bore fruit. Confirmed as the Brazilian's new opponent in the main event of UFC Rio, replacing the injured Raphael Fiziev, the Pole did not hide his satisfaction upon receiving the news.

In a video that went viral on social media, Gamrot appears inside a parked car when he discovers that he will face Charles of the Bronx at the October 11th event. In a mix of joy and adrenaline, the fighter starts screaming and has to get out of the vehicle to let off some steam. Filmed by a friend, the Polish fighter continues screaming between a few words in his native language and, at one point, puts his hands on his knees and bends down, showing some disbelief.

At 34 years old and in the UFC since 2020, Mateusz gamrot is currently ranked eighth in the lightweight rankings (up to 70,3 kg). The Pole has four wins in his last five fights and is coming off a victory over the Slovakian Ludovit Klein, in May of this year.

With Charles of the Bronx e Mateusz gamrot in the main fight, UFC Rio takes place on October 11th, at Farmasi Arena, located in the west zone of the Marvelous City.
