Amanda nunes hasn't even recovered her belt yet and may already have lined up her first defense. The "Lioness" is about to return to the octagon to face Kayla harrison in a duel valid for the women's bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg). And, according to the leader of Chute Boxe, Diego Lima, her first challenger has already been decided.
Participating in the UFC Brazil podcast, Diego Lima revealed his support for Amanda nunes win Kayla harrison and regain the belt. However, the coach's motivations go beyond the champion's nationality.
According to the technician, Amanda nunes already have a verbal agreement with Norm Dumont so that the first defense in the possible new reign is a 100% Brazilian duel.

"I personally want Amanda to win for two reasons: first, because it's Amanda, she's Brazilian, so I really want her to win. Another reason is that she and Norma met backstage and Norma said, 'You came back and messed up my progress, but win this belt and it will be a pleasure to fight you.' And Amanda replied, 'You can be sure we'll be doing this fight.' So, for me, it's even cooler because, theoretically, Amanda winning this fight has already kind of accepted this confrontation behind the scenes," said Diego Lima.
even though Amanda nunes e Norm Dumont are verbally aligned, the Brazilians still have commitments before finally concluding the agreement. Amanda faces Kayla harrison in a duel with no date yet set, while Norm Dumont measure forces with Ketlen Scallop at UFC Vegas, scheduled for November 1st.
