Frédson Paixão finishes at WEC-47

In a night of many finishes and several surprises, WEC-47, an event held in the city of Ohio, in the United States, recently ended. Returning to the Octagon, after losing the bantamweight belt in August 2009, Miguel Torres was once again defeated. Carlson Gracie's pupil faced Joseph Benavidez and after suffering a disadvantage in his striking and a large cut on his forehead, he ended up submitting with a fair guillotine choke in the second round.

In the main fight of the night, a new zebra. Defending champion Brian Bowles was unable to stand up to his challenger Dominick Cruz and was defeated by technical knockout at the end of the second round, due to a hand injury. The only Brazilian on the card, Frédson Paixão was quick on the trigger and submitted Courtney Buck in the first round with a rear naked choke. Check out the full results:
