After another devastating victory in the octagon, over the Brazilian Beth Pitbull in Rio de Janeiro, and increasingly consolidating herself as the biggest MMA star today, the UFC champion Ronda Rousey has dominated the headlines of specialized news. The blonde's success, however, doesn't seem to have pleased the fellow Ultimate fighter too much. Brendan Schaub, who publicly exposed the relationship he had with Ronda and spared no details and criticism of his ex-girlfriend.
“Believe me, I did her a favor. I wasn't the guy to do that. I just wasn't. I was too much of a man for her. She needs a guy who will sit in the passenger seat. And that's not me. She also needs a guy who will just say, 'Yes, ma'am.' She's so successful and she's surrounded by people who adore her and always say 'yes, yes, what a great idea'. But when I say 'I don't think this is a good idea', then I become the enemy. I have no financial gain from you. I don't need anything from you. I deserved it all on my own,” said Schaub, in an interview with official Ultimate commentator Joe Rogan, who quickly interrupted the topic.
This is not the first declaration of Brendan Schaub in recent days that has generated great controversy. The heavyweight recently said on his podcast that the The use of anabolic steroids is a common practice among Brazilian fighters and that, therefore, the Irish Conor McGregor was a clear favorite in the unification of the belts against José Aldo – as now the Ultimate organization has adopted a very strict stance in the fight against doping, together with the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
