Next Saturday, August 1st, Bethe Correia has a very difficult mission in the Octagon. The Brazilian will try to break her unbeaten record Ronda Rousey and win the belt at UFC 190, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro.

Although Rousey is the dominant champion of the women's bantamweight division, having defeated all five of her opponents in the octagon, Correia guarantees that the American is far from unbeatable.

“Ronda has this characteristic of being this perfect, all-powerful fighter and the media has created this illusion that she is invincible. I don't believe she is invincible. I can go out there and beat her. Until that interview she gave recently, in which she said she would use me as an example of what not to do for other girls. She is trying to make herself seem so dangerous so that people fear her”, said the Brazilian, in an interview with the website of the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”.

Bethe also criticized Rousey's reaction to one of her statements, when she said she hoped the American “wouldn't kill herself after being defeated”. The champion seemed upset with the words, as her father committed suicide when she was still a child. The Brazilian stated that Rousey's attitude distorts her words to make Correia become the villain.

“This whole story motivated me even more to fight. Ronda took something I said and interpreted it however she wanted to make me seem like the villain. She distorted everything I said. She's trying to defame me, but I won't let her burn my name for something she misunderstood. To be honest, when she started crying at my comment, I can say that I was proud of her performance as an actress. She did a great job. She is on the path to becoming a Hollywood star and maybe winning an Oscar soon”, said the Brazilian, referring to the passage of Ronda Rousey through cinema.
