In the first attempt at a rematch between Renan Barao e TJ Dillashaw, scheduled for September 2014, the Brazilian was removed from the card at the last minute after feeling ill during the weight cut and collapsing a few hours before the weigh-in, in what was to this day the latest replacement in the history of UFC title fights. Almost a year after the incident, and once again on the eve of facing Dillashaw for the title, Barão quickly tried to rule out any such problem.

According to the fighter himself, the 61,2 kg weight limit for the bantamweight category (with no tolerance limit, as this is a fight for the belt), has already been reached and, therefore, at least on his part, the dispute title is already confirmed. The information was revealed by Barão and published on the website of the “Combate” channel.
