After knocking out the Brazilian Rodrigo Minotauro at UFC-110, Cain Velazquez He showed great satisfaction in seeing his evolution in his stand-up game and his first big victory over a legend of the sport.
“I was well prepared, I planned to increase the pace whenever I had the chance,” he said. “I trained very hard on my feet and I would use takedowns when I had the chance, without taking any risks,” says Velasquez, referring to the Brazilian's jiu-jitsu.
Still disappointed with the defeat, Minotauro praised his tormentor, who remains undefeated in MMA, now with eight wins.
“He’s a guy who’s been rising a lot. Now, with this triumph, he is one of the greatest in this category”, says the Tupiniquim black belt.
