Din Thomas doesn't want to see Khamzat Chimaev with the belt. The Chechen will face Dricus du Plessis in the main event of UFC 319 on August 16th in Chicago (USA). But for the former fighter, if the challenger maintains his undefeated record, the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg) will suffer, given 'Borz's' history of withdrawals.

“I’m going to stay calm with you. If Khamzat wins, it will be a disaster, actually. You can’t tell me that part of you is thinking, ‘This fight might not happen’…”, Din Thomas said during an appearance on the podcast 'The Bohnfire'.
Din Thomas doesn't want to see the division standstill. The prominent UFC analyst highlighted the need for 'movement' in the sport, which would be jeopardized with Chimaev on the throne.
“If he shows up and wins, do we trust that he’ll be able to fight again? We need movement. I hate when everything is stagnant and there’s no movement in these divisions. For there to be movement… champions need to fight. If you’re a champion and you’re not willing to fight regularly… it’s bad for the division, it’s bad for the sport,” Thomas stated.
