Jiri Prochazka is not impressed with his next opponent's good form. After waging a war against Alex Poatan at UFC 307 and dominating Jamahal Hill at UFC Baku , Khalil Rountree is closer to a chance to fight for the light heavyweight title (up to 93kg). However, to earn that opportunity, he will have to get past Prochazka, who doesn't seem intimidated at all by the American's recent performance.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani, the former division champion expressed dissatisfaction with Rountree's performance against Jamahal Hill . In the Czech's view, his rival had several clear chances to finish the match decisively, but allowed his opponent to recover, compromising the impact of the victory.

"I didn't like that performance because he gave Jamahal too many chances to get back into the fight... he had too many opportunities to finish him decisively. That wasn't good," Prochazka said.

Furthermore, the Czech fighter expressed disappointment with Hill's performance. After an intense exchange of provocations in the pre-fight, Prochazka expected more action from the American inside the octagon. For him, anyone who wants to compete at a high level must give everything in the cage, leaving no room for regrets.

“What surprised me was Jamahal Hill ’s performance . I thought that, after so much trash talk, he would put on a much better fight than he did. If you want to fight at the highest level, go out there and show your best, completely. No regrets. Show your best completely,” concluded the Czech “Samurai”.

Like Rountree, Prochazka also faced Jamahal Hill in the UFC octagon. The difference, however, lies in the time needed to achieve victory: while the American needed five rounds to win by judges' decision, the Czech knocked out "Sweet Dreams" in the third round during UFC 311.
