The wife of UFC fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov , Gulayim Rakhmonov, and the couple's 3-year-old son were involved in a serious car accident in the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan. The car they were in overturned on a highway, resulting in the death of two people. The information was released by 'Kursiv News'.

According to local press reports, Gulayim was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. In addition to her and her son, there were two friends in the car—one aged 35 and the other 39—who succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene.
The fighter's wife and child were taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries, but are out of danger. The UFC has yet to officially comment on the case, and Rakhmonov has also yet to make a public statement.

Shavkat Rakhmonov , one of the top names in the UFC's welterweight division (up to 77 kg), is closely monitoring the health of his wife and son.
