Bisping, who lost to Belfort in 2013, accused the Brazilian of doping by stating that he “looked like a mix of a weightlifter and Hulk” in the fight between them, in addition to saying, in a less than polite way, that he would like a rematch. “I would love to smash your face in and shut you up once and for all. I have no respect for him, I think he’s shit”, he said.

On his Instagram account, Belfort stated that he is often the target of his rivals' words, but that his definitive answer will be given inside the octagon.

“A lot of fighters have discovered that by talking bad about others they get fights. I've been fighting for 19 years and I've never had to do this, I show my service inside the octagon. Today they talk about me because I have TRT [testosterone replacement therapy] or not, and they don't understand that every time they mention my name I close more sponsorships and partnerships. In fact, I won my two world titles without any treatment. So if this guy in the photo wants to get kicked, punched, etc. again, I'm in! Let’s put an end to these loudmouths”, wrote Belfort, using a montage with several photos of his knockout over Bisping to illustrate the text.

Belfort has not yet confirmed his next fight in the UFC. In his most recent fight, in May, he lost to Chris Weidman in the fight that put the middleweight belt at stake.
