The race is on to see who will headline the main event of... UFC White House It has just gained a strong candidate. It is... Ilia Topuria, who in a video with the Nelk Boys, Ilia showed enthusiasm about the possibility of fighting on American Independence Day.
The lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) welcomes the idea of performing in front of a North American audience and doesn't rule out being part of the card. Despite his excitement, Topuria acknowledges that there's still a long way to go until the event, and a lot is likely to change in the current MMA landscape.
"Why not? I'd love to fight in front of the United States of America. We'll see what happens. There's a year left," he said. Ilia Topuria.

The Spaniard also spoke about a possible fight against Islam makhachev, That has changed for welterweight (up to 77kg), but treated the matter with indifference. In Topuria's view, his rival would have difficulty returning to the lightweight division.
"I don't care about him (Islam). He wouldn't be able to go back to 70kg. Once you try to go up, you never want to go back... It's hell. I went through hell when I was cutting weight to 66kg. And now that I've decided to stay at 70kg, it's like two different worlds. I've been able to enjoy the whole process. I've been much happier," revealed the lightweight champion.

The promise of a UFC event in the White House garden is being hyped by Dana White. The CEO stated that a massive card is in the works and even compared it to a kind of "Sphere on steroids," in reference to UFC 306, held at the 'Sphere' in Las Vegas in September of last year. Recently, President Donald Trump announced an Ultimate promotion at the seat of government for July 2026.
"Obviously, everyone wants to fight on that card. And that's good, because we're going to present the best card we've ever done for that White House event. Think about what I'm going to do for this fight, and then think about what (President) Trump is going to do for this fight. It's a unique experience. Like when we did 'Sphere,' it's the Sphere on fire! It's going to be a unique event, and it'll never be the same again," said Dana White in an interview with 'PatMcAfeeShow'.
