Featherweight champion of Invicta FC and considered as the biggest rival of Ronda Rousey, the Brazilian Chris Cyborg is the biggest star in the all-female organization. And this condition is expressed even more clearly in the salaries paid for the event. In the 13th edition of the tournament, held last Thursday (09) in Las Vegas (USA), Cyborg received a salary well above the amount paid to all the other fighters on the card.
While Cyborg earned US$100 (R$315, at the current price), the other 13 fighters from Invicta FC 13 received a total amount of US$62 (R$195). To give you an idea of the disparity in payments for the athletes, the second highest paid of the night was the new bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger, who took home US$11 thousand (R$34,65 thousand).
Cyborg's opponent on fight night, New Zealander Faith van Duin, who was defeated in just 45 seconds, earned US$6 (R$18,9). Another champion on the card, Japanese Ayaka Hamasaki, who defeated Brazilian Hérica Tibúrcio to win the atomweight title, took home US$10 (R$31,5), just 10% of the amount paid to Cyborg.
