WBA lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis, 30, was arrested Friday morning (11), after police in Doral, Florida, received a report of an assault that occurred on June 15, when Father's Day is celebrated in the United States. The information was released by 'WPLG Local 10'.
Davis reportedly went to his ex-girlfriend's house to pick up his two children, but changed his mind and demanded that the mother remove the children from the car, sparking an argument that escalated into physical violence. She reports that the boxer struck her in the back of the head and slapped her face, causing a cut on her inner lip.

The victim's mother, who was present at the scene, recorded part of the attack, including a video in which Davis allegedly threw a small box at his ex.
The athlete was arrested in Miami Beach after an outstanding arrest warrant was issued and released on $10 bail.
Boxing star Gervonta Davis has been accused of domestic violence.
This isn't Gervonta's first domestic violence accusation. In February 2020, the boxer was accused of assaulting an ex-girlfriend during a charity basketball game in Florida, though the charges were later sealed.
In December 2022, the fighter was also arrested for aggravated domestic violence, accused of slapping him and causing injury. The accuser backed down, and the fight against Héctor García went ahead.
He still has internal legal problems, such as the 2020 escape case after an accident, which led to his house arrest in 2023. Gervonta Davis' record is undefeated, with 30 wins and one draw, against Lamont Roach, in March 2025. A long-awaited rematch against his rival is scheduled for August 16.
