Known for his boastful style, Ilia Topuria constantly adds phrases to his history of bold promises and provocations against rivals. During the week of the fight against Charles do Bronx , the Spanish-Georgian makes a point of needling the Brazilian at every opportunity he can, in order to try and destabilize the former champion's confidence.
Scheduled to face each other this Saturday (28), both fighters promise a bombastic and aggressive duel when the octagon doors close in Las Vegas (USA). However, despite the tense scenario, Do Bronx avoids insisting on provocations in the style that his rival has adopted.

During an interview about the fight, Topuria was listening to the interviewer talk about the number of victories Charles had had, until he decided to interrupt the questioning and highlight the setbacks suffered by the Brazilian during his career in the UFC.
“You’re not talking about his losses. 10, 10 losses. He loses in various ways: knockout, submission, decision. One more, against me, won’t be a problem for him. He’ll take it and come back on top,” Topuria told Main Event TV.
A veteran in the sport and a UFC fighter for over 10 years, Do Bronx has indeed had losses cited by the Spanish-Georgian. His most recent setbacks ended up being via decision and submission respectively.

On the other hand, Topuria is still undefeated in his professional career and has 16 wins, eight of them in the Ultimate. On the rise, the athlete knocked out Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski in sequence, until he moved to lightweight. The duel against Charles takes place this Saturday (28), in the main fight of UFC 317.
