After the end of the whole saga involving Jon Jones , whose retirement was announced by Dana White last Saturday (21), Tom Aspinall is ready to write a new story as the undisputed heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg).
In a video published on his official YouTube channel, the new 'owner' of the category promised fans an active reign and expressed his desire to become the 'greatest heavyweight of all time'.

“I’m going to keep this category as active as possible. I want to be the best heavyweight to ever walk the face of the Earth. I’m going to defend this title as many times as I can,” promised the Briton.
Tom Aspinall held the interim heavyweight title for about a year and a half and even defended it once. Now the undisputed champion, the Briton promises to reward the fans for all the support he has received lately.
“I will keep you entertained and I will reward all the support I have received over the last five, ten years. I am so grateful for everyone’s support and love. You will see an active champion defending the UFC heavyweight belt,” he said.
What will be Tom Aspinall's first step as UFC linear champion?
Tom Aspinall 's first move after being promoted to the UFC undisputed champion remains a mystery, but there's no shortage of interested parties. The first to publicly express his opinion was Brazilian Jailton Malhadinho , ranked sixth, who challenged the Briton on social media.
However, the trend suggests that the first challenger for Aspinall's undisputed title will be Ciryl Gane . The Frenchman is ranked number one in the division, is coming off a victory over Moldovan Serghei Spivac , and has no fight scheduled, making him the obvious first choice for the organization.
