Bellator reached an important milestone in its history at event 138, held last Friday (19). The attraction broke the television audience record in the organization's history, reaching an average of 1,58 million viewers in the United States.
The highlight was in the main fight of the night, between veteran Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice. The fight, won by Slice via technical knockout in the first round, was watched by 2,1 million homes across the country.
The old record belonged to Bellator 131, held in November last year. The event had an average of 1,24 million viewers, with the main fight of the night, between Tito Ortiz e Stephan bonnar, being viewed by 1,84 mi.
In the United States, Bellator is broadcast on the cable TV channel Spike TV.
