Patrício Pitbull survives knockdown, turns fight and defends belt at Bellator 138

The Brazilian was saved by the bell in the first round, but managed to achieve a knockout in the second round; In the main fight, Kimbo Slice beat Ken Shamrock

In the 138th edition of the show, held on Friday night (19), in St. Louis (USA), the native of Rio Grande do Norte survived a knockdown and was saved by the bell at the end of the first round against Daniel weichel. But after escaping almost certain defeat, Patrício managed to return to the fight and knock out the German in the second round.

Back for the second round, Daniel weichel He came in willing to end the fight and put Pitbull against the bars. The German connected several combinations and Patrício seemed doomed to lose his title. But in a quick counterattack, the Brazilian landed a left cross and took the German to the canvas. He even went up and connected two more punches and forced the central referee to stop.

Kimbo Slice defeats Ken Shamrock

The main fight of the night pitted veterans Kimbo Slice, 41, famous for street fights, and Ken Shamrock, 51, star of the first editions of the UFC. With a lot of rivalry, the 'grandpas' fought with emotions.

Shamrock didn't want to take any chances with Kimbo's striking and quickly looked for the takedown. Superior in ground fighting, the “Most Dangerous Man in the World”, quickly reached his back and secured the choke.

Kimbo, who during the promotion of the fight warned that he would not fight in the event of a submission, kept his word and came close to going out. But, with his last effort, he managed to free himself from the rear naked choke and get up. The moment Shamrock was on his feet, Slice connected with a right hook to the veteran who fell. With a few more punches, he reached the knockout and scored the fifth victory in his career.
