Cain Velasquez: “I’m preparing for war”

Escalated to the biggest challenge of his career, the undefeated Cain Velazquez will face the Brazilian Rodrigo Minotauro Nogueira at UFC-112, an event that takes place on February 21, in Sydney, Australia. The American, in an interview with the Australian publication Sydney Morning, was full of praise for the Brazilian and says he expects a war against the Brazilian black belt.

“I'm preparing for war. My opponent, Minotauro Nogueira has excellent boxing and incredible jiu-jitsu. So anywhere will be easy.”

Velasquez also states that he studied Minota's always efficient jiu-jitsu and prepared with experts in the gentle art.

“I've been training with guys who specialize in jiu-jitsu to prepare for Nogueira's game, but the rest of my training was the same as always – between two and three sessions a day,” he added.
