the veteran Dan Henderson, who turns 45 in less than two months, was the main protagonist of UFC Fight Night 68, held last weekend in New Orleans (USA). With a devastating knockout over Tim Boetsch in just 28 seconds, he stole the show and caught the attention of the middleweight category. After the triumph, Hendo was targeted by ex-soldier Tim Kennedy, who even congratulated him through a post on social media, but didn't miss the chance to launch a direct challenge.
"Hey, Dan Henderson, CONGRATULATIONS on your victory. Enjoy your rest. Let's talk to Dana White about having a fight at 'UFC Fight for the Troops' (cards promoted by Ultimate on military bases in the United States) and putting on a real show”, wrote Tim, on his official profile on Twitter.
The news also ends up surprising because Tim Kennedy had already considered retiring from professional MMA in recent interviews, unless “some interesting fight” appeared, according to him. So far, there is no estimate of when the next edition of UFC Fight for the Troops will take place. The last time the organization promoted a card to raise funds for the military was precisely with Kennedy in the main event, in 2013, and the North American beat the Brazilian Rafael Sapo.
