Recently, US President Barack Obama officially removed Cuba from the terrorism list and resumed relations between the United States and the island. Apparently, the government's onslaught also encouraged the UFC and made the organization's president Dana White reveal plans to promote an event on Cuban soil for the first time in its history.

In an interview with the “Palm Beach Coast” website, the director spoke about the event’s actions in Central America and plans to arrive in countries in the region in the future. “Apparently, from what I've heard, there are a lot of people training MMA there and a lot of interest. Obviously, there are also many Cubans in Florida (where the TUF Brasil 4 Final will be held), Yoel romero He's Cuban and he's on the card. We're now working on a card in Puerto Rico, but we'll go anywhere. So, yes, we are eventually working to go to Cuba”, said the director.

This was also a remarkable edition as it was met with strong resistance from local and international public authorities, and was only carried out due to a court injunction.
