The controversial case of the accident involving the former UFC champion Jon Jones, which culminated in his removal from the light heavyweight title, continues to have developments. This Tuesday (02), a new video surfaced with images of the crash caused by the fighter, witnesses of the incident and the victim, a pregnant woman who ended up suffering a broken arm.
The images, released by the “MMA Digest” channel, show the police action shortly after the accident, when Jon Jones It was no longer there. “The guy just jumped into a yard. He got out of the car and ran. He’s jumping the fences,” says one of the witnesses at one point.
In addition, the scenes also show the victim of the accident, pregnant Venessa Sonnenberg, putting ice on her arm injured in the collision. Vanessa also tells the police how the crash happened and shows that Jones would have run a red light before hitting her car.

The case
Early in the morning of April 27th, Jon Jones crossed a red light on an avenue in Albuquerque and hit a car driven by a pregnant woman. The fighter fled the scene on foot, returning a little later to get money from the car, without helping the victim, who broke an arm.
Jones turned himself in to police a few days later and was released on bail. Due to the episode, the UFC decided to remove the belt from Jon Jones and suspend him indefinitely.
