Norman Parke was not happy at all after his fight at UFC Fight Night 67, last Saturday (May 30), in Goiânia. In his second fight in Brazil, Parke found himself involved in controversy for the second time. Last year, in Natal, the fighter controversially had a point taken away from him against Leonardo Santos, which led to the fight ending in a draw. This time, angry, Parke did not spare the judges for the decision taken in Goiânia.
“I couldn’t believe what I heard when they announced the decision. These judges are a joke. I won the first round and knew I needed to win the third round, which I clearly did. I feel like I was robbed in Brazil and it wasn't the first time, but that won't stop me”, said Parke, in an interview with the newspaper “Belfast Telegraph”.
Of the three judges who scored the fight between Parke and massaranduba, only one was Brazilian: Felipe Frank, who gave victory to massaranduba. The others were Chris Lee (the only one who scored in favor of Parke) and Rick Winter.
