The main fight of UFC Goiânia 2, which takes place this Saturday (30), will pit two of the most aggressive athletes in the welterweight category face to face: Carlos Condit e Thiago Pitbull. And if it depends on Condit, the duel will live up to all expectations and will have action from the first to the last minute.

“The fight will be fought at a fast pace and will be violent. I think he (Pitbull) will come to the fight with everything. It won’t start slow like the last fight,” said Condit, after the open training session at UFC Goiânia, this Thursday (28). “Thiago is a complete fighter, who goes to fight. I would worry about his leg kicks even if he wasn't coming back from knee surgery because they are devastating. But I prepared for them, and I'm ready. Every fight is very important, even more so at a high level. This fight will show that I haven’t left the elite and the race for the title, which is where I belong,” he added.

Condit, who returns after a long time away due to a serious knee injury suffered in March last year, commented on his recovery and assured that he never thought about stopping fighting. “My camp was good. I've been training non-stop since I got injured. Initially to recover the knee and strengthen it, and then completely focused on fighting again. It never crossed my mind that I wouldn't be able to return. This is my job and how I pay my bills. Not going back was not an option,” he concluded.

Before climbing into the Octagon, Thiago Pitbull, Carlos Condit and the remaining 22 UFC Goiânia 2 fighters are scheduled to weigh in at the event's official weigh-in. O SUPER FIGHTS broadcasts the event this Friday (29), starting at 16pm (Brasilia time).
