Joe Rogan has indicated that the UFC is in talks with Netflix for a possible broadcast partnership. According to the current commentator, the organization 'may reach an agreement' with the streaming platform to broadcast its events after the contract with 'ESPN' ends last Tuesday (15). The statement, made during an episode of the 'Joe Rogan Experience', reinforced rumors that have been circulating since March of this year.
“It could happen. They’re in negotiations right now,” Rogan said on his podcast.

Netflix is looking to expand its live sports catalogue following the success of broadcasts such as 'NFL Sunday Ticket' and boxing exhibition matches. The platform has already shown interest in MMA in 2024, when it aired original documentaries about fighters and historical events in the sport.
The possible migration to the streaming platform would represent a radical change in the Ultimate's business model, which traditionally relies on partnerships with TV networks and pay-per-view services.
The potential collaboration between UFC and Netflix comes at a strategic time: in addition to the end of its contract with ESPN, the organization is facing pressure to expand its global reach, especially in markets such as Asia and Europe, where streaming is increasingly popular.
UFC + Netflix in Brazil?
In Brazil, however, the scenario should remain unchanged. The UFC Fight Pass, the organization's own streaming service, should continue to operate normally in the country, regardless of the outcome of negotiations with Netflix.
There is still no confirmation, however, whether the Brazilian version of the streaming platform would add live events to its catalog in the event of a global agreement.
