Living a difficult moment in my career, Johnny Walker already knows when, where and against whom he will return to action. This Tuesday (15), the UFC announced, through a publication on social media, that the Brazilian light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) will face the Russian Azamat Murzakanov No. UFC 316, an event scheduled for June 7th, in Newark, United States.
Johnny Walker has not won in three fights: a duel without a result against Magomed Ankalayev, in 2023, and defeats to the same Ankalaev and also to Volkan oezdemir, both in 2024. The Brazilian's last victory came in May 2023, when he overcame Anthony Smith.

Opponent of the Brazilian, Azamat Murzakanov is undefeated in MMA. At 36 years old, the 'Professional' has 14 wins in 14 fights, the last four in the UFC and three of them by knockout.
The duel between Walker and Murzakanov was part of the package of announcements made by the Ultimate this Tuesday for the UFC 316. The other confirmed duels were: Marlon Vera x Brandon Moreno, Bruno Bulldoguinho x Joshua Van e Kelvin Gastelum x joe pyfer.
With Johnny Walker e Azamat Murzakanov climbed, the UFC 316 has two title fights as main fights: in the men's bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg), Merab Dvalishvili defends the title for the second time in a rematch against former champion Sean O'Malley; in the women's bantamweight division, Julianna Pena seeks first title defense against Kayla harrison.
