Initially scheduled for May 10 as part of the main card of the event in Canada, the change reduces the Brazilian's travel time and offers the fighters an additional week of preparation.
Eighth in the welterweight rankings (up to 77kg), Durinho, who faces pressure to bounce back after three consecutive defeats, seeks to halt the rise of Morales, undefeated in his career and 12th in the division led by Belal Muhammad |The Brazilian has 22 wins and eight losses, while the Ecuadorian has 17 positive results.
The 38-year-old veteran, a former title challenger in 2021, is fighting to keep his hopes of another title alive. Morales, 25, is looking to cement his trajectory with a victory over an established name. Promoting the fight reinforces the organization's confidence in the appeal of the matchup, which pits experience against youth.
