Combat Karate Champion, Brazilian Luiz Rocha unifies titles in Miami

Lightweight king, Brazilian resolves rivalry with Shahzaib Rind in confrontation held in the organization's pit; fight takes place in June

Lightweight Karate Combat champion Luiz Rocha is preparing to unify his titles in his next appearance in the pit. Known for his great talent in the Shokotan style of the sport, the Brazilian will face the interim belt holder Shahzaib Rind in a duel scheduled to take place on June 20, in Miami. The information was obtained first-hand by SUPER FIGHTS.

training partner Patricio pitbull, Luiz seeks to return to winning ways after suffering a setback in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg), where he was seeking his second belt in the organization. In the category where he currently reigns, the Brazilian was last defeated in 2019. Since then, Rocha has six triumphs, four of which were achieved via unanimous decision of the judges and two by knockout.

On the other hand, Pakistani Shahzaib is riding a seven-fight winning streak. Undefeated in the organization, the athlete won the title in September 2024, when he knocked out fellow Brazilian Bruno Assis in the third round.

The clash, which has already been rescheduled twice, is scheduled to take place on June 20. The reason for the latest cancellation is due to complications the Pakistani had regarding his travel visa.
