The Mexican, one of the top names in the featherweight rankings (up to 65,7 kg), imposed his game from the beginning. With a greater reach and precision in his kicks, he managed to neutralize the Brazilian's attacks. In the first round, Pitbull applied a takedown and worked on the ground, but Yair recovered quickly and regained control.
In the second round, the Brazilian went on the attack and landed a high kick followed by a left cross, which shook his opponent. However, the 'Pantera' recovered and kept up the pressure. The third round sealed the fate of the fight: Yair landed a powerful cross that knocked Pitbull down and went for ground and pound, securing the victory.
