Amid speculation about the international agenda for 2025, Dana White ended doubts about the future of the sport in Brazil. After the UFC 314, last Saturday (12), the president of the organization was asked about plans for the country and reinforced the company's commitment to reactivating its presence on national soil after a hiatus.

“We are talking about it, we are working with Brazil currently. We will be in Brazil in 2025. We will resolve things,” Dana declared at a post-event press conference.

The return to the country, however, faces logistical obstacles. In early 2025, the organization tried to schedule a Fight Night in Brasília, but negotiations with local authorities did not progress. São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are the most likely alternatives.

Currently, the only Brazilian representative with a belt is Alexandre pantoja, flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg) of the organization. Alex Poatán, in turn, should play in August in the rematch against Magomed Ankalayev.
