On a night that was already marked by tension even before the fight began, Bryce mitchell was completed by Jean Silva No. UFC 314, an event that took place last Saturday (14). The president of the organization, Dana White, commented on the performance of the American, who had been facing strong criticism for controversial statements the past few months.
“I'll say what I say about Bryce mitchell. You know what happened and he's a grown man who stood his ground, stood up to the press multiple times. He came in here and fought, and I'm sure there were many times he had, leading up to this fight, including in the Octagon. He felt like his back was against the wall," Dana White said in a post-event press conference.

The context of the executive's speech refers to the controversies that have surrounded Mitchell in recent months. The fighter sparked outrage by defending Adolf Hitler in January 2025, calling him a "good person" and making anti-Semitic comments. At the time, Dana considered the athlete's words "abominable", but chose not to punish him, citing freedom of expression.
Amidst the hostile climate, the fighter still accused Jean Silva of being 'possessed by a legion of demons'. When asked about his mental health, Bryce replied that he was born with brain damage and, regardless of the outcome of the fight, he would be fine. In the octagon, he suffered from the Brazilian's aggressive game and was knocked out in the second round. It was his third defeat in five fights.
