In the main event of UFC 314, Diego Lopes and Alexander put on a real war in the octagon. After five rounds of heavy blows from both sides, the Australian had his arm raised and regained his belt. Despite the defeat, the Brazilian has reason to smile: the pair took home the 'Fight of the Night' bonus, worth US$50 (more than R$290).
According to information given by reporter Evellyn Rodrigues during the UFC broadcast, in addition to the main event fighters, Jean Silva received a performance bonus for his submission victory over Bryce Mitchell, and Paddy Pimblett received a performance bonus for his knockout of Michael Chandler.

The second fighter to submit Bryce Mitchell in his professional MMA career, Jean delivered a solid and confident performance in the octagon. Beyond taunting him, the fighter successfully neutralized his opponent's entire strategy. In addition to his successful takedown defense, the Brazilian demonstrated his sharp jiu-jitsu skills by applying a triangle choke and knocking out his rival.
